Vendor offboarding is not that different from employee offboarding. When the relationship ends, access should be reviewed and removed from websites, social media, email platforms, advertising accounts, analytics, payment systems, and other business tools.

Without a clear process, old vendors and former employees can remain connected for years. Then leadership changes, passwords are lost, recovery emails belong to people who are gone, and the next person has to untangle accounts created several transitions ago.

Good offboarding starts with knowing what accounts exist, who owns them, and who currently has access. ●
